Diorite

Diorite is a stone, common in Finland, rare in other countries. The Diorite Cardigan is worked from the top down, making the length easily adjustable. The textured stitch pattern is easy to memorize, and the repetition makes the knitting pleasurable. The sample uses two yarns held together, Knitting for Olive Merino and Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair. Choose your length and knit on!

YARN:
The sample was knitted with 2 yarns held together to give fingering weight yarn:

• Knitting for Olive Merino (100% merino, 50g 273 yds / 250 m per skein). You need approx.6 (7, 8, 8, 9, 11, 12) skeins or 1550 (1764, 1979, 2184, 2457, 2737, 3051) yds / 1419 (1616, 1812, 2000, 2250, 2507, 2794) m of light fingering weight yarn. The sample was knitted in colorway Ice Blue.
• Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (70% mohair, 30% silk, 25g 246 yds / 225 m per skein) You need: 7 (8, 9, 9, 10, 12, 13) skeins or 1550 (1764, 1979, 2184, 2457, 2737, 3051) yds / 1419 (1616, 1812, 2000, 2250, 2507, 2794) m of lace weight yarn. The sample was knitted in colorway Ice Blue.

NEEDLES:
US 4 / 3.5 mm circular needle for body and sleeves.
US 2.5 / 3 mm circular needle for ribbing.
Adjust the needle size to get the correct gauge.
