Happy Sweater

Happy Sweater is a happy chance to use lonely scrap yarn skeins in your stash. The sample uses four colors but play with the idea of using more colors, too. The stranded colorwork pattern is simple, you only use two colors at a time. And the pattern repeat is only four stitches, so it is quite easy to see and memorize from the work. Happy knitting!

DK- or worsted-weight yarns to give the given gauge.
The sample yarns were:

Color A: Tukuwool DK (100 % Finnish Wool, 100g / 3.5 oz / 273 yds / 250 m / skein). Color Rohto (green). You need 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3) skeins or 371 (410, 447, 482, 552, 613, 635, 703, 727) yds / 340 (375, 409, 441, 506, 562, 581, 643, 665) m of dk-weight yarn.

Color B: Järbo Svens Ull (100% Swedish Wool, 100g / 3.5 oz / 197 yds / 180 m / skein). Color 59006 (peach). You need 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3) skeins or 220 (236, 265, 285, 327, 363, 376, 416, 430) yds / 201 (216, 242, 261, 299, 332, 344, 380, 393) m worsted-weight yarn.

Color C: Aara Yarn Maja (100 % Finnish Wool, 100 g / 3.5 oz / 241 yds / 220 m / skein). Color Jalo (dark grey blue). You need 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skein(s) or 203 (217, 245, 264, 302, 336, 347, 384, 398) yds / 185 (198, 223, 241, 276, 306, 317, 351, 363) m of dk-weight yarn.

Color D: Aara Yarn Maja (100 % Finnish Wool, 100 g / 3.5 oz / 241 yds / 220 m / skein). Color Rae (white). You need 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skein(s) or 203 (217, 245, 264, 302, 336, 347, 384, 398) yds / 185 (198, 223, 241, 276, 306, 317, 351, 363) m of dk-weight yarn.

Note about the yardage: The yardage used were calculated for the sample length of the garment. If you make a longer garment, you need more yarn.

NEEDLES:
US 4 / 3.5 mm circular needle for the neck ribbing 
US 6 / 4 mm circular needle for the body and sleeves 
US 2.5 / 3 mm circular needle for the hem and cuffs
Adjust the needle size to get the correct gauge.

Tapestry needle, stitch markers, scrap yarn/stitch holders.
