Simppeli Socks

These are very simple toe-up socks that provide an easy way to learn twisted stitch cables. The pattern is worked in a mirrored fashion for each sock.

SIZING:
1 (2) 3. Child US 3.5-4 / EU 35-36 (Women’s US 7-8 / EU 37-39) Men US 9-10 / EU 41-43.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
Foot circumference approx. 6.5 (7) 7.5” / 16.5 (18) 19.5 cm.
Leg circumference approx. 7.5 (8.5) 9.25”/ 19.5 (21.5) 23.5 cm.
Sock is intended to be worn with a small amount of negative ease.
You can modify the length of the sock by increasing instep or leg length.

GAUGE:
30 sts and 42 rows = 4” 10 cm in Stockinette stitch wet blocked

Knitlob’s Lair Väinämöinen (75 % superwash wool, 25 % nylon, 3.5 oz / 100 g / 437 yds / 400 m), 1 skein. The sample color is Hehku.

NEEDLES:
US 1.5 / 2,5 mm circular needle
US 0 / 2 mm circular needle for ribbing
This pattern is written for the magic loop. If DPNs are preferred, consider your needles 1&2 as TN and 3&4 as BN.
Adjust the needle size to get the correct gauge/tension for the socks.
